Global Voices on I-HouseTV

On February 8th, 2015 at the historic Sunday Supper, I-House TV launched its first student-produced original series, Global Voices featuring International House resident Ollie Rutherford. I-House TV is a new program here at International House with the goal of producing excellent, resident-driven digital content. We emphasize research, education and special initiatives that complement the educational and living experiences of our residents. Global Voices features 3-minute documentary profiles of current residents who will touch on a variety of subjects to a general audience, including but not limited to, science, technology, engineering, math, medicine, public affairs and humanities.

OllieOur profile of Ollie spotlights his love for building community, his journey to CAL and was met with massive enthusiasm! Student Executive Producer Skylar Economy says, “Being a part of I-House TV and helping to produce Global Voices has allowed me to learn and share with others the personal lives of the diverse mix of people who live in I-House.”

Our premiere episode of Global Voices was a resounding success. We showed our next episode, starring resident Avantika Sood, at the Indian-themed Coffee “Chai” Hour on Wednesday, February 25th in the Great Hall.

Both videos are available on the International House YouTube Channel. Stay tuned for more I-House TV offerings including coverage of the I-House Olympics and check out our Facebook Page and Instagram–@IHOUSETV.
