Check out peacefreedom.com." Welcome New Staff! Bonnie Johnston Bonnie, a Berkeley resident since 1991, joined I-House in July 2013 as the Executive Assistant to Executive Director Hans Giesecke. After working in administrative capacities in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years, Bonnie is now providing logistical support to the Board of Directors and managing international resident scholarships while undergirding I-House in its mission of peace and greater intercultural understanding. New I-House Board Members Richard Palmer (IH 1982-83) With a B.A. in Asian Studies from UC Berkeley and a M.A. from Harvard University, Richard currently serves as Executive Director of Private Wealth Management for Morgan Stanley in San Francisco and Singapore. He is also a trustee of UC Berkeley Foundation, a board member of the UCB Haas School Asian Business Center, a board member of the Berkeley China Initiative, as well as a Bear Backer. Dick served previously on the IH Board (2002-11) and was central to the 75th Anniversary Campaign. Dr. Kwei Ü (IH 1961-65) In 1965, Kwei received his B.A. in Physics and Biology from UC Berkeley, and went on to earn an M.D. at the University of Wisconsin. Prior to retiring, he practiced medicine and has been affiliated with the Chinese Hospital, the California Pacific Medical Center and the Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. Among his professional memberships are the San Francisco Medical Society and the American Academy of Neurology. Kwei also served on the IH Board from 2003-12, including a leadership role with the House's 75th Anniversary Campaign. Christopher Zand (IH 2000-02) After receiving his B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley, Chris earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University. Currently a Vice President and Financial Advisor with Brouwer & Janachowski specializing in investment planning and management services, Chris previously served as Vice President with Bernstein Global Wealth Management.
