Look Who Came To Visit! 1. Lorna Marlow-Munoz (IH 1988) brought her Solano Community College's French Club members to I-House for a tour and lunch in the Dining Commons. ey all enjoyed their time here while conversing in French with three I-House residents. 2. Helen Posnansky orndal (IH 1990-91) and Anders Yang (IH 1990-91) became friends while they were residents of I-House. ey fondly remembered all the times they spent in the Library. 3. Jacklyn Lauchland-Shaw (IH 1967-70) returned to Berkeley to attend UC Berkeley's 150th Anniversary Charter Day festivities. She was grateful to have an I-House tour, which brought back many fond memories, including celebrating her college graduation with her parents on the Heller Patio. 4. Donna Artusy (IH 2009-10) and Chee Hae Chung (IH 2009) were delighted to stay in the Ambassador Suite and relive their days as roommates at I-House. Chung traveled from South Korea for this special reunion. A favorite moment from their visit was having lunch with Larnie Macasieb from the Program Office. 5. Christine Cook Stone (center), the daughter of Christiane Barbarin Cook (IH 1946-47), and dear family friend Sophie Blanc (right) met with Fundraising and Events Coordinator Angela Rauch. ey reminisced about the days when Christiane lived here as a foreign exchange student from France. 6. Horst Simon (IH 1976-79) (right), Deputy Laboratory Director at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, visited with Hans Giesecke, Executive Director of I-House, to discuss future collaboration with international and post-doc students. 7. Julie aysen Elming (IH 2016) (left), from Denmark, truly enjoyed visiting I-House and was thrilled to have the chance to see her old room and show her friend all her favorite places. 8. Kaya Tuncer's (IH 1959-62) wife Mary (right), along with daughter Deniz, visited I-House to honor him and pay tribute to his time at I-House. Notable IH alumnus, Kaya and his wife Mary, established a California nonprofit, Global Friendship rough Space Education, aligned with I-House's mission to foster intercultural understanding.
