6 International House Times Philanthropy Matters e International House Scholarship Program, funded by the generosity of former residents and other friends, subsidizes room and board costs of residents from as wide a range as possible of nationalities, economic circumstances, and academic fields. Living at I-House has a life-long impact on residents' lives, many of whom become intercultural leaders and global citizens. Fulfilling our mission begins by ensuring diverse students can access the I-House experience. One aspect of the I-House Scholarship Program is the Gateway Fellowships, a partnership between I-House donors, the Graduate Division and Academic Departments of UC Berkeley. In September, I-House had the pleasure of hosting a dinner for this year's recipients, with many of the supporters who make these fellowships possible.
