IH Berkeley alumni Benjamin Maurice (center, in green shirt) and Joël ai (left from Ben) brought the Berkeley tradition with them which was enjoyed by IH Paris residents from Singapore, Canada, Sénégal, Italy, Libya, US, UK, Cambodia, and Pakistan. Alumni Reunions & Global Gatherings I-House Executive Director, Hans Giesecke convened with alumni that spanned 40 years of I-House history at a gathering held at the University of Göttingen in early November 2013. Two dozen alum- ni from the 1960s - 2010s and friends participated. Alumna Alva Cornelius (IH 1998-2000) writes "It was a great time to connect... being part of I-House is like being part of a big worldwide family!" Coffee Hour @ International House Paris Fabulous 50s Friends "e kids had a blast but ultimately I think the adults had the most fun," says Anne Crawford, who together with ten fellow alumni from 1987-88, "Americans descended on their British friends" in Kent, England with their families, including ten "Because of I-House..." kids. e reunion was graciously hosted at the home of Sarah Smith and Anne, who traveled all the way from Texas and California. "And our wonderful family - including our friends - is all because of International House." A total of seven alumni from the 1950's and their loved ones gathered in January, 2014 to share lunch in the din- ing hall, reminisce and catch up with I-House staff. Hans Giesecke and Joy Iwasa were regaled with happy memories: "ere is no place like I-House" said Raj.
