ounded in 1928, International House Berkeley opened its doors in August
1930 to welcome scholars from around the world and throughout the U.S.
Since then, more than 60,000 alumni have beneļ¬ted from residential and
cultural programs and services shaped by the House's mission:
To foster intercultural respect and understanding,
lifelong friendships and leadership skills for the
promotion of a more tolerant and peaceful world.
