The International House at UC Berkeley is a multicultural residential
"living and learning" center of over 600 students and scholars from
70+ countries, including the U.S. Our mission is to foster
intercultural respect and understanding, lifelong friendships, and
leadership skills for a more just and peaceful world.
To promote this purpose, International House (I-House) features a
wide variety of programs, including lectures, films, and festivals with
an international focus. In addition, we offer leadership development
of intercultural skills, which is available to residents, the campus,
and the local community. These programs and trainings, which are
held in our historic building adjacent to the UC Berkeley campus,
address problems and offer solutions to global challenges in a
changing world.
