ounded in 1928, International House Berkeley opened its doors in August
1930 to welcome scholars from around the world and throughout the US.
Since then, tens of thousands of individuals have benefited from residential and
cultural programs and services shaped by the House's mission:
To foster intercultural respect and understanding, lifelong friendships,
and leadership skills for a more just and peaceful world.
