Laureen Chang (IH 1973–74), Heinrich Stucki (IH 1973– 74), Marie José, Kudret Oztap (IH 1973–74), and Jackie Stanley all met at the Haas School of Business and I-House. In September, they all gathered for a reunion via Zoom from Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. Heinrich, now re- tired, just returned from Mont Blanc, sporting a healthy glow from his time in the French Alps, where he celebrated his 46th anniversary with Marie José in L'Étang-la-Ville. Kudret and Jackie, who met at I-House, recounted their harrowing escape from the World Trade Center on 9/11 and their NYC pan- demic experience as they continue to work virtually. Laureen, a retired corporate banker, is keeping busy with community involvement with children and education, real estate manage- ment, and planning trips/zooms to visit friends around the world when able to do so safely. Good friends can pick up the warmth and connection where they left off despite gaps in time and distance. Cheers to old friends! International House Times 9 Global Gatherings Although we couldn't gather in person this year, more than 120 alumni joined our first ever Virtual Global Homecoming, featuring an update and Q&A with Shaun Carver, our new Executive Director; a look back through the decades of our Fashion Show Flashback reel; and an engaging discussion and opportunity to connect with fellow alumni for Global Table Talk. You can watch the replay at ihouse.berkeley.edu/globalhomecoming. The I-House mission should remain the same that it has had for 90 years, to be a gathering of people from all over the world and a center for learning and exchanging ideas, a center for respect and understanding...That's what the world needs now more than ever. Mina Rainès-Lambé Parsont (IH 1954-56) Global Table Talk participant One of the many things Sunny Mistry (IH 2008–14) distinctly remembered from his time at I-House was all of the super friendly Norwegian exchange students, many of them studying sociology for some reason. Ever since I-House, visiting Norway was on top of his places to visit. So when he went to London for work this February, he made it a point to add a long weekend in Oslo and reached out to many friends from his time at I-House spanning 2008–14.
