2010s Elmar Diederichs (IH 2010) writes, "In 2010, during my first year at the Depart- ment of Statistics at Berkeley, I spent a wonderful summer at I-House with its open and inspiring academic atmosphere. This extraordinary experi- ence helped me to understand the role of networking. I learned to profit person- ally and scientifically from intense co- operations with other people, such that I decided to join the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology for a few years. After this time, I founded the math- ematical think tank 'Elements of Euclid,' that invites highly educated people to participate in creating a fruitful academ- ic sphere. Having this pool of experts today allows us to create and monetarize advanced projects in Machine Learning and AI, that probably would never have come to reality without my initial experi- ence at I-House."
