International House Melbourne
International House at the
University of Melbourne was
a bold initiative conceived
by a group of Asian and
Australian University of
Melbourne students and staff.
International House has
evolved since its first student
intake in 1957, offering
not only a residence and
a melting pot of culture,
but also educational and
practical support in the
form of tutorial programs,
social and sporting activities
and networking opportunities.

University of Melbourne is
now home to around 275
students from approximately
30 different nationalities.
International House is as
relevant today and it was
when the first students
lived here and will continue
to serve as an inspiration
to embrace difference and
celebrate diversity.
